Thursday, November 19, 2009 @ 8:38 PM had ACCOR interview today.. reached school 30 minutes earlier before the interview starts. we are allowed to go in 3 by 3..so there were hy, eleanor, and me.. we were very nervous when we sat in front of the office waiting for our turn to go in.. there were 3 HR managers from 3 different accor hotels in Singapore. the one that in charge of me was an European..i kept staring at her eyes..because her eyes are so pretty! they are green! so nice! LOls.. they asked us around 4 questions..including questions like: - what are your short term and long term goals? - what do you know about ACCOR group? - why are you interested in taking this internship? - tell me one of your job experience about helping someone and how you accomplished it. i didn't know what i'm talking..hahaa.. when they asked me about the 2nd question which was what do you know about ACCOR group. i told them that the group has 3 hotels in Singapore including ibis, grand mercure, and 'SOFITEL'.. OMG! it is 'novotel' and not 'sofitel'.. i didn't realize it until one of the manager says: "sofitel? are you sure? do you know where is sofitel located at?" when i realized that i said wrongly, my mind became completely blank and blurted out something like "Oops, sorry, it's novotel and not sofitel..because of the 'tel' word..it makes them sounds so similar"..which makes all of them laugh out loud..OMG! i even said something like tt during a serious interview..><>
overall, the interview was okay..but i think i would not be selected for this internship because there are limited vacancies..maximum of 27 ppl i think.. and our batch have around 60 plus people..so the probability of me to be selected is as little as a zero..unless there are some miracles..hahaa..
Monday, November 16, 2009 @ 10:16 PM 16.11.2009 Had a presentation today.. not sure what my grades will like as we didn't manage to answer the teacher's question..it was a simple question though..=X our class are going to have ACCOR interview on this coming thursday..OMG! i haven't prepare at all..at 1st teacher told us that our attachment will be on the 2nd semester, however, due to certain circumstances it changed again..so damn nervous..i scared i'll not be able to answer any of their questions. XD 11.11.2009 worked at APEC last wed. it was very tiring and tedious work..after lesson lyndia, hl and me rushed to humble house at esplanade to report.. after changed into theuniforms and all that, we finally took bus to istana..reached there around 3pm and queue for a long time..after we were assigned to the respective tables, they began to brief us about what to do and how to do.. lyndia and me served the same table which was the "least important" table..lols.. it was where mr president and all the ministries seated. i served one of the ministry's wife..nearly knocked her head during serving as my stupid hands kept trembling..haiis.i cannot balance the tray at all..i even dropped a tea spoon onto the floor..luckily, the person beside me helped me to picked it up..maybe it was my first time doing a job like this..still not as experienced as the others..when the manager asked us who do not know how to use a tray, i didn't dare to admit it..LOLs.. took photo last minute after we went back to esplanade..reached home around 1am already..very tiring indeed!    it was great experience..we are still able to chit-chat during break time or when there are nothing to do..=DD frankly speaking, if i will able to choose, i would not choose to work in F&B or even banquet industry..because we all required to stand for a long time without sitting. OMG! my legs are swollen! it's too tiring and we even still need to smile and smile all the way..:X
Monday, November 02, 2009 @ 9:07 PM 2.11.2009 school is boring as usual..haiiss. need to start on the project.. but i'm not sure how to start..haha. sports day is around the corner..my class only have 2 more days to train their chemistry..so tmr there'll be last training on captain's ball..i can feel that our class is going to win in the actual competition..gambatte HC!! :DD 30.10.2009 Happy belated birthday to Huixin! =) crystal and i have planned for 2 weeks for this day..i'm quite sad actually..we failed to surprise her..she saw us hiding around the corner of the stage..ermm..to be exact, she saw me! OMG! i've ruined everything..she said i was staring at her..hmm..maybe i was just making sure that the person is huixin bahh..i've no idea that i stared at her..really..LOLs. i was surprised by her instead..haiiss..then, we tried to give her 2nd round of surprise..nearly fail too..we went to buy flyer ticket while she went to washroom all of them..except for crystal and me..we took all the ez-link cards and ICs and rushed to the ticketing booth..but the flight was postponed due to bad weather..but luckily, the weather condition back to normal after awhile. 1st time taking flyer.. :X we kept taking pictures inside the cabin.. it was very fast..28 minutes seemed like 10 minutes to me..it was the day before haloween. so there were a lot of people dressed like ghost in front of the entrance.. i was scared actually..but i knew that the ghosts will make fun of those who are scared..so i was forcing myself to smile..hmm..it was effective..they were not following me..LOL. crystal and mx were so scared..the ghosts kept following them..and evan was the heroine of the day..she rescued crystal from the hands of evils.. hahha     modern group of ghosts..know how to use camera..LOL! |
